The Joker: Mark Hamill (via thejokerlady)
Mark Hamill is seriously underrated as an actor, and could possibly have made the greatest progress as an actor when compared to his co-stars in the Star Wars films. Hamill is proof positive that being in one of the most successful franchises of all time does nothing for your career but plague you with type casting. Yet Hamill’s Joker is the most iconic performance of the character; I’d even say that it surpasses Heath Ledger in it’s ability to be consistent in such a narrow medium. Ledger has a brilliant script on his hands, and to be fair doesn’t do much of the cackling madman stuff that Hamill does so well. While The Dark Knight is fantastic, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is pretty great too.
